Services Offered:
1.Self-Operation: Users must undergo training and obtain certification from the instrument administrator. After certification, users can schedule self-operation and are responsible for instrument safety.
2.Delegated Operation: Instruments can be operated by the instrument administrator on behalf of users.
3.Training and Certification
Service Hours:
•Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (excluding national holidays).
•For training, hands-on sessions, and certification, please schedule an appointment with the instrument administrator in advance.

『Management Regulations for Instrument Usage / Reservation』

1. Instrument Usage Authorization
Users must complete safety training and obtain instrument certification before being authorized to use the equipment.
2. Instrument Reservation Application Process
- For first-time users, please first apply for an account in the“Instrument Booking System” below, and fill out the "Instrument Usage Application Form for the Research Center for Critical Issues - Quantum Photonic Facilities for Precision Characterization and Advanced Processing " as linked in this laboratory to submit your application.
- Complete general safety and health training, as well as chemical hazard safety training, and provide certificate of completion.
- Schedule instrument education and training, hands-on practice, and certification with the instrument administrator. (Please submit certificate of completion of safety training when checking in.)
- After passing the safety training and instrument certification assessment, you can reserve the desired time slot through the “Instrument Booking System.”

3. Instrument Certification
- Users must complete the full process of education, hands-on training, and certification assessment according to the attributes of each instrument, except for re-certification cases. If users are already familiar with certain instruments, they can directly apply for certification with the instrument administrator.
- For details on certification guidelines of each instrument, please refer to: Quantum photonic Instrument Operation and Assessment Guidelines.
- After passing the certification assessment, users will be granted the right to reserve and use the instrument.
4. Instrument Reservation and Usage Guildlines
- Users who have not passed the instrument certification assessment are prohibited from operating the equipment. If qualified users allowed unqualified ones to use an instrument, their certification will be revoked, and the reservation will also be canceled.
- Reservations can be made within one month of the intended usage time.
- If you are unable to attend your scheduled reservation, please cancel it through the booking system at least three days in advance. Users who fail to cancel their reservation up to three times will lose their right to reserve instruments.
- Users must arrive on time for their scheduled reservation. If they are late more than 30 minutes, their reservation will be canceled.
- Before using the instrument, carefully review the“Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)”for the instrument. Users must fully comply with the operating procedures and should not skip any steps.
- Users must fill out the "Instrument Usage Log" in detail. Failure to complete the log may result in the revocation of instrument usage rights.
- If any abnormal conditions occur during operation, users must immediately notify the instrument administrator and record the situation in the usage log. Users are not allowed to repair the instrument without permission.
- If there are issues with the parameters, users should contact the administrator and cannot change the instrument settings without permission.
- Users should avoid using personal USB drives to store files to prevent computer viruses. Please use the public USB drives provided by the laboratory or cloud storage.
- After using the instrument, users must clean up any experimental waste and restore the instrument to its original condition (operational state). Make sure if there is any abnormal condition or damage to the instrument before leaving.

5. Instrument Usage Authorization Mechanism
To maintain users’proficiency in operating instruments, this laboratory establishes a usage authorization mechanism:
- The authorization period is one year (subject to the operating guidelines for each instrument). However, if a user has not used the instrument for more than six consecutive months, their usage rights for that instrument will be canceled (starting from the date of certification).
- The laboratory reserves the right to suspend the users’ authorization based on their familiarity with the equipment. Once the user’s authorization is suspended or canceled, the user requires re-certification or further training.
- If the instrument usage authorization is canceled, users may reapply for certification with the instrument administrator. When certification is passed, the user’s authorization will be renewed.
