【Achievement】Characterizing and Mitigating Flux Crosstalk in a Superconducting Qubit–Coupler System
Congratulations to Assistant Research Fellow Chung-Ting Ke and the Thematic Center for Quantum Computer on their publication in the journal APL Quantum!
Superconducting quantum computers use tunable couplers and flux lines (Z-lines) for control, but this triggers flux crosstalk that interferes with neighboring qubits. By measuring mutual frequency shifts, a "cancellation matrix" was created, slashing crosstalk from 56.5‰ to 0.13‰ without requiring extra hardware. This near-zero crosstalk control is vital for scaling up quantum processors.
