【Events Highlights】Visit from Students from National Cheng Kung University’s Department of Hydraulic and Ocean

To enhance students’ understanding of ocean energy applications, Associate Professor Chen Chia-Lin from the Department of Hydraulic and Ocean Engineering at National Cheng Kung University recently led students from a general education course on a visit to RCCI’s Thematic Center for Marine Energy and Taiwan Marine Observatory System (Tai-MOS).

Guided by Dr. Bao Chun-Hung and Research Assistant Kuo Hsiang-Yi, students gained in-depth insight into current applications of marine resources and learned about the design concepts and technological development of ocean current turbines. They showed strong interest in ocean current power generation technologies as well as practical offshore operational experience. The discussion was lively and engaging, with some students even asking what it would take to join RCCI in the future.
