Title: Superconducting Scalable Quantum Computing
Speaker: Yong-Ho Lee (Director, Center for Superconducting Quantum Computing System, KRISS)
Time: Aug 5 (Wed.)10:00
Venue: 2F Conference Room, RCCI

Superconducting quantum computing is one of promising platforms for quantum computing due to its scalability, fast gate speed or CLOPS (Circuit Layer Operation Per Second), and relatively good qubit lifetime and gate fidelity. For fault-tolerant quantum computing, however, the number of qubits and qubit performance need to be improved further the those of state-of-the-art QPU performance. As an effort for these, world-wide activities are going on. In KRISS, we are developing superconducting quantum computing systems based on Transmon.
In this lecture, I will introduce the recent technical development in KRISS, needed to be addressed for the development of scalable technology for realizing large-scale quantum computing systems, based on 3-dimensional device technology, high-density cabling, and high-density measurement and control systems. And overall developments of quantum computers in Korea will be introduced.
